Simonton Windows Looking to Hire 160 Full-Time Workers in West Virginia
April 12 2012COLUMBUS, OHIO – Simonton Windows, one of the nation’s leading suppliers of quality vinyl windows and patio doors, has the immediate need to hire 160 workers at its facilities in West Virginia. The full-time position openings are for production operators primarily in the areas of glass, glazing, vinyl and loading operations at Simonton facilities in Ritchie County, plus extrusion machine operators at SimEx in St. Marys.
“We’re excited to be able to bring more jobs to West Virginia and enrich the local economy,” says Tony Atzbach, plant manager for Simonton Windows. “People hired for these long-term positions will be eligible for full benefits after just 90 days, receive competitive wages and immediately be eligible for overtime work. We’re operating on a five-day work week and we have openings in both our day and evening shifts for full-time workers.”
Atzbach reports that 40 full-time workers have recently been hired to fill the needs of the facilities, which have escalated in recent weeks.
“There are several positive factors at play here driving our need to hire 160 additional full-time workers at our manufacturing facilities in West Virginia,” says Atzbach. “Among them, the company consolidated some of its operations into the West Virginia facilities late in 2011, which has resulted in expanded workloads at these plants. Also, Simonton launched the new Asure™ line of energy-efficiency replacement windows and patio doors within the past few weeks. This product line’s success has positively affected manufacturing operations at our facilities.”
Full-time employees of Simonton are eligible (along with the spouse and dependent children) for Simonton’s Health Plan that includes medical, dental and prescription coverage. Employees can also participate in the company’s Wellness Program, 401(k) Savings Plan, Life and Disability Insurance Plans and Employee Assistance Program. Full-time Simonton employees are eligible for educational assistance and bonuses two times per year based on their plant’s productivity, quality and safety performances, receive paid holidays, and can purchase Simonton Windows products at discounted prices for themselves and their immediate family members.
