What in the World is a Casement Window?

So what is a casement window?

A casement window, unlike the more traditional double hung or single hung window, is hinged at the side. This means instead of lifting or pulling your window open, you can simply use the crank at the bottom to easily ‘crank’ open the window.

Casement windows can be used anywhere in the home, but they are perfect for hard to reach places, such as above your kitchen sink. And because of its hinge this window style is extremely easy to clean and you have the ability to clean the outside of the window from inside your home.

Casement Window is Perfect for Kitchen Windows

Just like all of Simonton’s window styles, casement windows come in a variety of color, grid, and hardware options to suit your personal style and décor. In fact, Simonton offers seven different casement window hardware options so you can match your window hardware to the hardware in your home.

Do you prefer the look of a double hung window, but still want the ease of a casement window? Simonton’s casement gives you the classic styling of a double hung window with the function and ease of use you desire.
